Solar panel installers in Brighton & Hove

Green Solar Solutions installs and maintains solar PV and battery storage for homes and businesses across London and the South East, including Brighton & Hove. Brighton and Hove is a coastal city on the south coast of England, in East Sussex, with Regency terraces, many conservation areas and the South Downs National Park on its northern edge.

Regency terraces, flats and the seafront

Brighton and Hove has many tall terraced houses, some with parapets, flat or mansard roofs, and many large houses converted into flats. In those buildings the roof is usually shared, so the freeholder’s agreement and an arrangement between the flat owners come before the design. Many parts of the city are also conservation areas, where extra rules about the visible parts of a building can apply.

Wind, salt and the coast

Close to the sea the weather is harsher: wind is stronger and the air carries salt. Both are considered when a system is designed. Fixings and frames are chosen to suit, and the panels are checked and cleaned over time, since salt and bird droppings collect on them.
